Class on Miniature Altars

Time:
Jun 28 2009 - 4:00pm - 6:00pm
Type:
Class

Have the tools for worship at your fingertips wherever you go. Each person will have the opportunity to create either a small shrine to a specific deity or being of their choice, or a pocket-sized altar-in-a-box. Materials and instructions will be provided for both options, but it would be appreciated if anyone who wishes to make both items would bring a container for their second one. If anyone has any spare containers, we'd love for you to bring extra to share. Appropriate containers for shrines are empty and well-washed sardine tins or other flat containers of similar size and shape. The altar-in-a-box can be made to fit into an Altoids-type tin or similar; or, for those willing to work in a very small scale, a matchbox. A variety of deity images will be provided for the shrines, but if you have one that you want to use, the appropriate size would be smaller than 2" high, 1.5" wide, and less than 1/2" deep.
